CITY OF MALOLOS – Tatak Bulakenyo products are now more expected to hit the local and international market with its improved and appealing designs as the Provincial Government of Bulacan relaunched the Bulacan Packaging Services and Toll Packaging Center (BPSTPC), a service-oriented project which primarily aims to promote livelihood and consequently help in alleviating poverty.

Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said that the BPSTPC, which is the very first government-run packaging center in the Philippines, will be a very big help for micro, small and medium entrepreneurs in marketing their products globally and will also eventually generate jobs and income for Bulakenyos.

“We believe that we are here to serve the public to the very best of our abilities and continue to improve their lives and livelihood. Ang BPSTPC na ito ay isang proyekto na sumusuporta sa pagpapaunlad ng kabuhayan ng ating mga mamamayan at patuloy na magbibigay ng oportunidad sa ating mga kababayan na magkaroon ng pagkakakitaan,” Alvarado said.

The governor also expressed his gratitude to the Department of Trade and Industry Region III for the turn-over of its modern machines such as the Automatic Granular Packaging and Die Cutting Machine that are essential in providing better and more improved packaging services to the Bulakenyos as well as to the other entrepreneurs from different parts of the country.

Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Officer Cynthia Abiol explained the services being offered by the packaging center including the improvement of new/existing label and packaging designs, label printing and product development.

BPSTPC also offers toll packing service wherein clients can use the packaging center’s machines and equipment for minimal fees. This includes the automatic granular packaging machine, shrink machine, retort machine, continuous band sealer and die cutting machine.

Abiol also said that they conduct tour and consultancy for young entrepreneurs wherein the services of the packaging center are explained thoroughly and for the visitors to become more familiar with the modern machines and equipment.

“Sa tulong ng proyektong ito, mas matutulungan nating ang mga nagsisimulang negosyante na itaguyod ang kanilang mga negosyo partikular ang mga Bulenyo na patuloy na ipinagmamalaki ang sariling produkto ng lalawigan,” Abiol said.

BPSTPC is open from Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and is being managed by the PGB through the initiative of the PCEDO.
