Bulacan supports free environmental concert

CITY OF MALOLOS – The Provincial Government of Bulacan headed by Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado is one with the local government of Barangay Canalate in promoting the advocacy for environmental protection and conservation thru a free concert dubbed as “Konsierto sa Ilog ng Asin ni Lolita Carbon, Handog sa Kalikasan,” on April 9, 2011, 3pm at the Canalate River, Barangay Canalate, this city.

More than a thousand Bulakenyos are expected to come to the said event that will be of help in disseminating the campaign of the LGU’s call to preserve and save the environment.

Aside from Asin, other musical artists who will perform are 7ID Philippine Army Band, Bluewish, Akkiko Yamamoto and Barangay Canalate, all advocates aiming to relive the passion of the Bulakenyos in loving Mother Nature.

The said concert will be held in the middle of the Canalate River, the stage atop a pagoda where the artists will be performing.

Governor Alvarado who will grace the event as one of the guests of honor, will be accompanied by City of Malolos Mayor Christian Natividad, Colonel Fitz Macariola, Colonel Hilario Vicente Lagnada and PGB consultant Vicente Cruz Sr.

Also part of the program is the wreath laying ceremony in commemoration for the victims of the recent calamity in Japan.

The event is made possible in cooperation with the City Government of Malolos, PPSC-Philippine National Police-Bulacan, 56 IB, 7th Infantry Division Philippine Army and Spectrum Bulacan. ###
