CITY OF MALOLOS – “Today is the day for unity,” Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr. proclaimed as he led the launching of One Bulacan PRIDE (Program for Rapid Industrialization and Development), a program to make Bulacan a hub of industrialization and model of inclusive economic growth together with Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado and Rep. Joselito Mendoza.

Gov. Alvarado explained some of the proposed projects under One Bulacan PRIDE which soon will also be the true pride of the province.

Other proposed projects under this are the development of the jewelry industry to enable it to compete strongly in the international market by having a jewelry-making complex that will serve as a showroom and production facility, and a tourist attraction as well, a modern food processing and packaging facility to boost agro-industries in San Rafael and San Ildefonso, the establishment of a mineral processing center, along with downstream manufacturing plants, in the northeastern part of the province among many others.

Also present to give support to the program were Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Secretary Mario Montejo, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Secretary Joel Villanueva, Senatorial Candidate Bam Aquino, Vice Gov. Daniel Fernando along with the Sangguniang Panlalawigan board members.

Meanwhile, Sec. Villanueva believes that with this program and by setting aside politics, the province Bulacan can reach the top sooner.
