Community local officials in Bulacan take oath of office

CITY OF MALOLOS—Newly elected barangay officials in Bulacan will take their oath of office to be led by Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado on November 30, 2013, Saturday at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium.

Two hundred ninety two barangay captains and 2,044 councilors from third and fourth districts will take their oath at 7:00 in the morning while the 277 barangay captains and 1, 939 councilors from first and second districts will take their oath at 1:00 in the afternoon.

Alvarado said that 65 percent of local officials who will take the oath of office are not incumbent.

“Burahin natin ang pulitika, ito ay bagong simula kaya pag-upo sa pwesto, sama-sama tayo at magtulung-tulong na maglingkod tungo sa iisang layunin, ang maibigay sa ating mga nasasakupan, sa ating mga mamamayan ang nararapat na serbisyo para sa kanila,” Alvarado said.

Meanwhile, Provincial Administrator Jim Valerio said that together with the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, they will exert all efforts to ensure the participation of all local officials on the said event.

Vice Gov. Daniel Fernando, members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, and mayors of the cities and towns will also be present to witness the oath taking ceremony. ###
