CITY OF MALOLOS — The Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office will conduct a two-day meeting and consultation with the Dumagat tribe residing in Bulacan on February 26-27, 2014 at the National Power Corporation Power Hall, Hilltop, San Lorenzo, Norzagaray, Bulacan.

The said meeting aims to give assistance as to how to properly govern the tribe’s community, to be more united with their tribe mates, and make them realize that working side by side with the government will help fulfill their needs especially on livelihood.

Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said.

PSWDO head Rowena Joson-Tiongson said that they are teaming up with Bro. Edwin Cardel, the Dumagats’ coordinator in the towns of Doña Remedios Trinidad, Norzagaray and City of San Jose Del Monte to ensure the participation of the tribe’s leaders and members.

Tribal Governor Salvador Cruz, Vice Tribal Governor Norma Roque, tribal chieftains, health workers, and all the tribe’s elders are expected to participate in the said meeting. ###
