Alvarado, one of Golden Globe's Outstanding Filipino Achiever

CITY OF MALOLOS – Bulacan Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado was recognized as one of the “Outstanding Filipino Achievers” in the field of public service in the Golden Globe Annual Awards (GGAA) for Business Excellence 2014 held at the Centennial Hall, Manila Hotel last March 22, 2014.

Conferred by the Golden Globe Awards Council, the medal of distinction was given to Alvarado because of his significant achievements and tireless dedication in serving the Bulakenyos that made Bulacan as the leading province in Central Luzon.

“Isa pong kahayagan ito na ang lahat ng aking pinaghirapan, pinagbuhusan ng dugo at pawis at halos ng aking buong buhay bilang lingkod-bayan ay nag-ani ng isang masaganang parangal na hindi ko po malilimot habang ako po ay nabubuhay,” the governor said.

Alvarado is known for his outstanding awards, for being the “Father of the City of Malolos” when he authored RA 8754 which paved the way for the cityhood of Malolos, and for helping indigent students to have quality education by providing scholarship programs.

Further, the governor is also known for his developmental strategy, "Seven Point Agenda" (Health, Education, Peace and Order, Nature and Environment, Good Governance, Livelihood, and History and Culture) that fosters the progressing economy of Bulacan through the years of his administration.

The awarding ceremony highlighted the remarkable achievements and triumphs of the awardees over their countless hardships in life that inspires other fellowmen to strive more and succeed in their chosen crafts.

Other awardees were Gov. Mujiv Hataman, Cong. Raneo Abu (Public Service), Nancy Ebron (Business Management), Director Maryo De Los Reyes (Movie Film Directing), Akihiro Blanco and Jose Ezekiel Madrid (Arts & Entertainment).

“I believe that it is our duty to search out not only the best but the excellence in business and in other field that inspires Filipinos to achieve more in their life,” said Dir.Ramon Juanito Balunes y Paras, founder of GGAA.

The Golden Globe Award is conferred to companies that have achieved business excellence which also pays tribute to the personalities in different fields of public service, entrepreneurship, entertainment, journalism, medicine, music, arts and culture.

The said recognition is a joint effort of the Golden Globe Awards Council, National Data Research Examiner and Marketing Services, Inc., Philippine Best Companies. Com, Inc., SINAG News Magazine and SINAG Foundation, Inc. that recognizes and pays tribute to all Filipinos around the world that brought pride and honor to their country. ###
