CITY OF MALOLOS - Representatives from People’s Republic of China (Taiwan) will once again visit the province of Bulacan for the Rice Donation Ceremony dubbed as “Love from Taiwan” to be held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium on July 13, 2014 at 3:00 in the afternoon.

Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said 2,000 sacks of rice weighing 10 kg each will be distributed to some members of Bulacan Federation of Jeepney Operators and Drivers Association (BFJODA), Integrated Federation of Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association of Bulacan (TODA), and to a number of Persons with Disability (PWDs), Veterans, solo parents, senior citizens and Dumagats.

“Pangatlong taon na itong ginagawa ng mga Taiwanese sa Bulacan kaya nagpapasalamat tayo na patuloy nilang nakikita ‘yung pangangailangan ng lalawigan, ‘yung kahalagahan ng pagtutulungan. Salamat sa patuloy nilang pagbabahagi ng kanilang pagmamahal,” Alvarado said.

The governor added that the upcoming activity is a proof of a strong relationship and camaraderie between Bulacan and Taiwan and hopes for it to continue for a long time.

According to Provincial Administrator Eugenio Payongayong, a short program will be held which includes cultural presentation and familiarization of the province before the distribution proper.

Representatives from the World Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce (WTCC) and Taiwan Association in Philippines will also give their speeches.

The Love from Taiwan was first distributed in March of 2012. ###
