Bulakenyo kids showcase their talents in Provincial Children's Congress

CITY OF MALOLOS – Talented Bulakenyo kids from different public and private day care centers in Bulacan showcased their talents and competed in the Provincial Children’s Congress 2014 held at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center last October 24, 2014, as part of the month-long celebration of the breitling replica 22nd National Children’s Month.

According to Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Rowena Tiongson, the participants competed in Solo Singing Contest, Drawing Competition, Poem Reciting Competition and Folk Dancing Competition which are all anchored on the theme “Bata Kasali ka, Ikaw ay Mahalaga.”

“The competition is focused on the children's right and their participation in the decision-making processes within the family and the nation. In this year’s provincial children’s congress, maipapakita ng mga bata ang kanilang mga talento at kakayahan sa iba’t ibang larangan tulad ng pagsayaw at pagkanta,” said Tiongson.
Champions in each category received cash incentives and trophies including Rhian Dela Cruz from Malibo Matanda, Pandi Day Care Center (Drawing), Ayesha Daniella Castillo from Pulonggubat, Guiguinto Day Care Center (Poem Reciting), Zhyrice Sol Cruz from Tinejero, Pulilan Day Care Center (Solo Singing), and the kids from Malis Day Care Center from Guiguinto (Folk Dancing).

Meanwhile, Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said the Provincial Government of Bulacan is always supportive to the Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC) in emphasizing the importance of children in nation building.

“Ayon sa ating pambansang bayani na si Dr. Jose Rizal, ang ating mga kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan. Kung kaya’t habang bata pa lamang sila ay iparamdam na natin ang kanilang kahalagahan sa pagbuo ng isang matatag na bansa. Patuloy nating suportahan ang kanilang mga pangangailangan at karapatan dahil sila ang magtataguyod ng isang maunlad na bansa sa hinaharap,” the governor said.

He also congratulated the provincial winners and wished them good luck in the upcoming Regional Children’s Congress on October 28, 2014 at the SM City Event Center in San Fernando, Pampanga.

The celebration is pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No.267 s. 1993 that bids to show the important role of children and cheap rolex replica what they can contribute in the society. ###
