Alvarado, Fernando receive Golden Globe's Outstanding Filipino Achievers Award

CITY OF MALOLOS – The exemplary leadership and noteworthy achievements of Bulacan’s top officials continues to pay off as Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado and Vice Gov. Daniel R. Fernando were recognized as two of the most “Outstanding Filipino Achievers” in the field of public service in the recently concluded Golden Globe Annual Award (GGAA) for Filipino Achiever 2016 held at the Centennial Grand Ballroom in Manila Hotel.

Medals of distinction and plaque of recognitions were awarded to Alvarado and Fernando because of their strategic partnership that made Bulacan as one of the most leading provinces in Central Luzon.

Also, the duo was commended because of their continuous commitment to the province to achieve a sustainable and progressive development through innovative programs designed to benefit the general welfare of Bulakenyos.

“Isang malaking karangalan para sa akin at sa buong lalawigan ng Bulacan na muling kilalanin dahil sa ating dedikadong pagpupunyagi at pagkakaisa tungo sa kaunlaran,” the governor said.

Alvarado, who is also the chairman of the Regional Development Council in Central Luzon, also expressed his gratitude to the Bulakenyos for their dedication and tireless support to his administration that has proven its accountability and transparency in providing public service.

Further, the province of Bulacan under the administration of Alvarado and Fernando is also known for its numerous awards including the highest recognition given to outstanding local government units in the Philippines known as the Seal of Good Local Governance given by the Department of Interior and Local Government.
Other awardees in the field of public service were Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago, Senator Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos, Senator Cynthia Villar and Public Attorney’s Office Chief Persida Rueda-Acosta.

The Golden Globe Award is conferred to companies that have achieved business excellence which also pays tribute to the personalities in different fields of public service, entrepreneurship, entertainment, journalism, medicine, music, arts and culture.

The said recognition is a joint effort of the Golden Globe Award Council, National Data Research Examiner and Marketing Services, Inc., Philippine Best Companies.Com, Inc., SINAG News Magazine and SINAG Foundation, Inc. that recognizes and pays tribute to all Filipinos around the world who bring pride and honor to the country.
