CITY OF MALOLOS – Bulacan’s intensified and all-out campaign against criminality has resulted to remarkable accomplishments after Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado announced a continual increase of crime solution and clearance efficiency in the province, which is crucial for the attainment of progressive development.

The governor reported a 16.65 percent drop in crime rate for the first quarter of 2016 where 6,465 crime incidents were recorded compared to the 7,612 reported crimes last January to May 2015, marking a decrease of 1,147 incidents.

Alvarado highlighted in his State of the Province Address (SOPA) that Bulacan’s crime solution efficiency for 2015 increased by 17.57% and 22.84% for crime clearance efficiency from the last quarter of 2014.

“Peace and order is one of the best foundations of a progressive development and Bulacan has remained generally peaceful prompted by heightened police efficiency and our intensified all-out campaign against criminality,” the governor said.

He also reported the continuous upgrading of the Bulacan Provincial Jail (BPJ) to make a strong foundation of the justice system with fairness and respect for the rights of the inmates.

He also reported that the heightened police efficiency and maintenance of peace and order has resulted to significant arrests of lawless elements and neutralization of notorious crime syndicates operating in Bulacan, Metro Manila and some parts of Central Luzon.

Moreover, the governor vowed to support the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte who sworn to carry out an uncompromising crackdown on crime in the Philippines.
