Jak Roberto excites Bulakenyo youth

CITY OF MALOLOS – Typhoon ‘Maring’ didn’t stop Jak Roberto in bringing excitement to 1,500 Bulakenyo youth participants of “Hakbang para sa Kabataan” held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city, Tuesday morning.

Also known as the ‘Pambansang Abs’, Jak serenaded the young Bulakenyos and played funny games with them.

Jak or Jan Rommel Osuna Roberto in real life starred on the GMA’s hit television series “Meant To Be’ together with Barbie Forteza, Ivan Dorschner, Ken Chan and Addy Raj. He is also the brother of Sanya Lopez, another GMA artist.

Meanwhile,three lucky winners won in the raffle draw wherein Grade 2-Sampaguita of Ipo Elementary School in Ipo, San Mateo, Norzagaray, Bulacan brought home the P50,000 grand prize; Ayesha Marie Parfan of Sabang Elementary School in Baliwag, Bulacan went home with P30,000 and Carlo James Pariñas of Sibul, San Miguel Bulacan bagged the P20,000 cash prize.

In addition, Grade 1 pupils of Sta. Monica Elementary School, Gemeniano Yabut III, Luis Carl Vicente and Justine Mendoza won P5,000 each as consolation prizes.

Due to the typhoon’s strong winds and heavy rains, the Provincial Youth, Sports and Employment Development Office decided to cancel the walk from Barasoain Church and Santisima Trinidad Elementary School and instead push through with the main program at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium.

Hakbang para sa Kabataan is one of the programs included in the month-long celebration of Singkaban Festival with this year’s theme “Singkaban Festival 2017: Bulacan, babalik-balikan” organized by the Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) through the PYSEDO in coordination with the Bulacan Sports Council.
