CITY OF MALOLOS – In accordance to Republic Act 9003 or the “Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000” and the implementation of “Bantay Kalinisan ng Bulacan”, Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado forms Bantay Kalinisan Task Force to ensure a cleaner and greener province.
The said task force is authorized to conduct quarterly visitation in the 21 towns and three cities in the province to asses their efforts in implementing the cleanliness and orderliness in their respective areas, thus, identifying winners for the two award categories, Pinakamalanis na Bayan o Lungsod and Pinakamalinis na Luntiang Kapaligiran.
Based on the criteria set, two winners will be chosen for Pinakamalinis na Bayan o Lungsod
for the first semester (1st and 2nd quarters) and another two winners for Pinakamalinis na Luntiang Kapaligiran on the second semester (3rd and 4th quarters).
The quarterly winners will receive a trophy and cash incentive amounting to P30,000 each.
At the end of the year, a grand winner will be chosen among the previously awarded cities and towns and will be proclaimed the Natatanging Bayan o Lungsod sa Kalinisan.
The said program aims to encourage cooperation and 100 percent participation among the local government units in maintaining a cleaner and greener province.
“Nawa’y sama-sama nating mapagtulungang abutin ang hangarin ng programang ito tungo sa patuloy na pagtataguyod ng isang malinis at luntiang Bulacan para sa higit na kabutihan ng mga mamamayang Bulakenyo,” the governor said. ###
