CITY OF MALOLOS — Marking the start of the environment month, the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Bulacan Environment and Natural Resources Office launched series of activities that will raise the awareness and participation of Bulakenyos in environment protection and conservation during the opening ceremony of the “Buwan ng Kapaligiran” which carries the theme “Karikitan ng Kalikasan sa Tahanan ng Tatlong Republika” at the Bulacan Capitol Gym yesterday morning.

According to Bulacan Environment and Natural Resources Officer Atty. Rustico de Belen, educating the people, especially the youth is a major factor that can spread public awareness and inject active participation in the protection of the environment and preservation of our natural resources.

Accordingly, students from the Guiguinto National Vocational High School performed a musical presentation entitled “Sentemiento de Basura” which entertained and educate the audience about the importance of solid waste management and the vital role that everyone should share in addressing environmental concerns.
