Bulacan advances municipal’s medical facility

CITY OF MALOLOS- Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado will lead the inauguration of a two-storey building equipped with its renewed medical apparatus at the Gregorio Del Pilar District Hospital (GDPDH), Bagumbayan, Bulakan on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 11 in the morning.

“We are committed to provide the highest quality of medical services and caring for the Bulakenyos that’s why we continuously upgrade and expand our district hospitals. Aside from that, we are planning to build more district hospitals in the municipalities of Angat, Obando, Pandi and Norzagaray,” said Gov. Alvarado.

Dr. Angelito Trinidad, chief of GDPDH, added that the new building will hold the emergency room, operating room, labor and delivery room, recovery room, and three bed air-conditioned PhilHealth ward. It also contain new equipment such as five stretcher beds, OR lights, delivery tables and an anesthesia machine.

“The expansion of the hospital helps for more accessible and wider area to accommodate our patients. We now have a larger neonatal intensive care unit and nursery, and a mini-conference room for the employees,” said Dr. Trinidad.

Aside from the inauguration, the signing of a Usufruct Agreement between the Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) and municipal government of Bulakan will take place as part of the formal turn-over of the new building.

GDPDH has a 25-bed capacity and started operating since 1979 under the management of the PGB. ###
