Bulacan reports largest number of treated dengue patients

MALOLOS CITY- Government doctors in Bulacan have successfully treated 99.7 % out of more than 3,000 patients diagnosed of dengue according to the report of the Provincial Public Health Office (PPHO) from January to September 3 of this year.
Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado added that this is the greatest number of treated dengue patients in the entire region.
“Dahil sa ating maigting at malawakang kampanya laban sa dengue, less than one percent lamang ang ating case fatality. Dahil sa nabigyang kaalaman na ang mga mamamayan, maagang nada-diagnosed ang mga may sintomas ng sakit na ito, kung kaya agaran din silang nabibigyang lunas,” explained Alvarado.
Alvarado also stated that they are providing free hospitalization and medicines for dengue patients thus, Bulakenyos who are experiencing fever as early as two days immediately go to the hospitals for cure.
He also lauded the efforts of the Rural Health Units and the private sectors for actively participating on campaigns that increase public awareness on proper dengue management and their efforts to intensify dengue cases monitoring.###
