Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said that the annual search will give recognition to today’s modern heroes and outstanding sons and daughters of the province who excel in their fields of expertise such as public service, professional, community service, entrepreneur, education, science and technology, arts and culture, trade and industry, health, agriculture, sports and Bulakenyo Expatriate.

Moreover, the highest award, which is the Tanging Bulakenyo, will be given to a Bulakenyo who excels in any of the awards categories stated above and with an outstanding performance and contribution to the society.

The governor also encourages all the Bulakenyos to support the said event thru submission of nominees from all the municipalities in the province.
