CITY OF MALOLOS-The Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) will once again seek the cooperation of all its employees and other Bulakeños to participate in the yearly blood donation dubbed as Dugong Alay ng Bulakenyo spearheaded by Vice Gov. Daniel Fernando come May 14, 2012, 8 o’clock in the morning at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium.

According to Fernando, this also serves as an encouragement to relive the spirit of volunteerism through blood donation. He also said that the program aims to collect bags of blood which will be deposited to the Bulacan Provincial Blood Center (BPBC) that in turn will be utilized by the Bulacan Medical Center to address the need of Bulakenyos for blood.

Base on records, 98 bags out of 177 blood donors were collected from the PGB and other civilians that had registered and passed the screening process.

Donors will be given certificates in recognition for their support and cooperation and most importantly, their efforts to pay it forward by means of blood donation. ###
