CITY OF MALOLOS- Concurrent with the Department of Education’s (DepEd) launching of Brigada Eskwela 2012 also known as National Schools Maintenance Week on May 21-26, 2012, the Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) will also launch “Sa Iskul, Ligtas ako sa Dengue: Provincial Anti-Dengue Spraying”.

Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said that the spraying already started in April.

According to DepEd, clean comfort rooms are their priority for this year. Education Secretary Bro. Armin Luistro also emphasizes in one of his interviews that personal hygiene and sanitation among students will help increase their self-esteem.

Dr. Jocelyn Gomez, Provincial Public Health Officer said that coinciding with the Brigada Eskwela launching is the ceremonial dengue spraying at exactly 7 am also in Balagtas Central School.

Currently, the spraying team of the PGB is able to reach half of the target schools under the program according to PPHO. ###
