CITY OF MALOLOS— The Five Pillars of Justice in Bulacan is set to bring various services to uplift the rights and welfare of the children as Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado leads the opening ceremony of the Five Pillars of Justice Month with the theme “Katarungan para sa Pag-asa ng Inang Bayan” to be held at the Bulacan Provincial Gymnasium on August 6 at 8 a.m.
“We would like to promote equality and justice particularly to the vulnerable members of the society like the children and the youth. With this program, we will increase awareness of all the Bulakenyos regarding the legal matters that will protect them from getting abused thus, get the justice they deserve,” said Alvarado.
The governor said that among the activities scheduled for the month-long celebration are seminar on RA 7610, RA 9262 and other related laws; “Takbo sa Barangay Laban sa Ilegal na Droga” which is a fun-run that will be held at the different parts of the province; Pasine sa Barangay; dental mission, information drive and gift giving activity at the Tanglaw Pag-asa Juvenile Center; sports fest and blood-letting activity at the Bulacan Provincial Jail; and outreach programs at different orphanages in the province.
The 5 Pillars are composed of the Prosecutor’s office headed by Fiscal Rita Gamad; Philippine National Police headed by PS/Supt. Fernando Mendez Jr.; Regional Trial Court headed by Judge Ma. Theresa Mendoza-Arcega; Probation and Parole Office consisted of CPPO Teresita Mascuñana, CPPO Cezar Lopez Jr., and CPPO Ramon De Leon; and the community which is composed of the Provincial Government of Bulacan headed by Alvarado and Integrated Bar of the Philippines led by Atty. Cecilio Villanueva. ###
