Bulacan bags Regional Kabalikat Award

CITY OF MALOLOS-The Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) headed by Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado added another feather in its cap after being feted the 2012 Kabalikat Award for local government unit category in Region III.

According to Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Regional Director Cenon Querubin, among the PGB’s efforts in support to TESDA programs are Skills Olympics and Skills Bonanza with approximately 3,000 beneficiaries; financial assistance and active participation in their events and activities.

Querubin said that in forthcoming months, there will be greater contributions coming from the PGB in the field of technical education and skills development.

Further, contribution to TESDA may be in the form of training, scholarship, donations of training machines and equipment, supplies and materials, recruitment and placement of trainees, on-the-job training, promotion and advocacy, magnitude of beneficiaries and continued support to TESDA activities.

As the regional winner, Bulacan will receive a plaque of recognition at the same time represents Region III in the National Kabalikat Award today, August 24 at TESDA Women’s Center, TESDA Complex in Taguig.

“Ang nasabing parangal ay isang karangalan para sa ating mga Bulakenyo. Kami ay nagagalak sapagkat nabigyang pansin ang suportang ibinibigay ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan sa TESDA na isang malaking tulong sa mga Bulakenyong nais magkaroon ng magandang kinabukasan,” Alvarado said.

The Kabalikat award is one of TESDA’s reward mechanisms in giving due recognition and honor to its outstanding partners in the promotion and enhancement of technical vocational education and training. ###
