CITY OF MALOLOS—In cooperation with the Charitable Endowment Support (CES7), a non-profit non-government organization, Calumpit District Hospital (CDH) conducts a surgical mission which performed operation to 19 patients.

According to Dr. Marietta Katipunan, chief of CDH, the program offers help to indigent Bulakenyos who needed surgical operations but cannot afford to pay for it.

“Last December 7, 2012, there were 40 persons who underwent the screening, but only 19 of them qualified for medical reasons,” said Katipunan.

Among the medical cases that they operated were umbilical hernia repair, hemorrhoidectomy, thyroidectomy and others.

Meanwhile, Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said Bulakenyos should not hesitate to grab this opportunity.

“Samantalahin po natin ang mga ganitong oportunidad lalo pa kung ito ay para sa ating kalusugan. Malaking bagay po ito lalo na sa ating mga kalalawigan na kapos sa buhay upang hindi na nila intindihan pa ang gagastusin sa kanilang pagpapa-opera,” added the governor.

Charitable Endowment Support (CES7) is a US registered non-profit organization that serves as the umbrella to organizations whose purpose is to enhance the lives of the homeless, orphans, impoverished, sexually abused, sick, and illiterate children living in third-world adversity. CES7 and partnering organizations endeavor to impact on a global scale and seek to start their efforts in the Philippines. ###
