US Doctors, to conduct medical mission in Bulacan

CITY OF MALOLOS—Bulakenyos will benefit in the upcoming surgical/medical mission of the Philippine Medical Association (PMA) Medical Mission Foundation of Greater St. Loius, Missouri, U.S.A that will be held at the Bulacan Medical Center from January 28 to February 1, 2013.

Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said that this joint project of the Provincial Government of Bulacan and the PMA Medical Mission Foundation of Greater St. Loius, Missouri, will bring 50 doctors who will give medical services including surgery, urology, anesthesia, diabetes and hypertension screening, dental, ophthalmology, plastic surgery and pediatrics to as many indigent Bulakenyos as possible.

“We would like to give the Bulakenyos the best kind of health service as much as possible. We are much honored to have these doctors from the United States to provide our patients with modernized and quality medical attention, all for free,” said Alvarado.

The governor also said that part of the event is the welcome program for the medical mission delegates that will include inspiring talks from Dr. Fred Jimenez, president of PMA St. Louis, Missouri; Dr. Teresita Sy-Alvarado Castillo, former president of Philippine Medical Association St. Louis, Missouri; Dr. Manuel Castasus, former president of PMA Medical Mission Foundation; Dr. Necita Roa, president of PMA Medical Mission Foundation and Dr. Elcee Connor, president of PMA Women’s Auxiliary.

He added that a seminar on the updates on surgery and medicine will be held on January 30 for the benefit of Bulakenyo doctors. ###
