CITY OF MALOLOS – The Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Bulacan Environment and Natural Resources Office or BENRO have already planted almost 13,000 seedlings in the province since its launch in June as part of the Environment month celebration and still counting.

Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado.

According to BENRO, they’ve planted trees in five towns already that include Bustos, Doña Remedios Trinidad, Guiguinto, Norzagaray and Sta. Maria.

Mr. Eugenio Payongayong, head of BENRO, said that their office is open to any organization who is interested to plant trees in their respected areas.

He also said that the assorted forest and fruit-bearing trees seedlings came from private companies such as Holcim Phils., Ore Asia Mining and Dev. Corp., La Farge Phils., Eco-Shield Dev. Corp., UPPC, All Waste Services Inc., and Eagle Cement.

The said tree planting activity will carry on until November in Hagonoy, the last municipality to be visited this year and will resume immediately next year.
