According to the Provincial Administrator’s Office, a total of 9,378 received scholarship grants from PGB, state colleges and from other schools scholars combined.

The remaining 5,767 from state colleges who received their scholarship grant during the enrollment period is comprised of 4, 945 students from Bulacan State University, 429 from Bulacan Polytechnic College and 393 from Bulacan Agricultural State College.

The scholarship program is divided into two categories, the academic scholar and Educational Assistance (Indigency Program).

Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said that to avail the academic scholarship, students must have grades on academic subjects not lower than 90% of the General Weighted Average for high school graduates and 2.00 for students in college. Those who passed in this category will receive P 5,500.

On the other hand, educational assistance (Indigency Program) is provided for the needy Bulakeños with a dream to finish studies but are not capable due to poverty. They only need to pass all of their subjects to continuously avail of the program. Those who belong in this category will receive P3,000.

Ms. Catherine Innocencio, Asst. Department Head of the Provincial Administrator’s Office said that financial assistance received by the said scholars who belonged to other school category last Sunday is for the first semester only.
