CITY OF MALOLOS—Almost 1, 500 daycare pupils and children from different Child Care Institutions in Bulacan will be filled with joy as they showcase their talents in the Provincial Children’s Congress 2013 with the theme “Kahirapan Wakasan, Karapatan ng Bata Ipaglaban” on October 17, 2013 to be held at Hiyas Pavilion in this city.

Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office head Rowena Joson-Tiongson said that the event is in line with the 21st National Children’s Month celebration and pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No.267 s. 1993 that bids to show the important role of children and what they can contribute in the society.

Children from the 21 municipalities and three cities in the province will compete in calisthenics at Hiyas Pavilion, poem reciting at Mariano Ponce Hall, singing at Francisco Balagtas Hall and drawing at Maximo Viola Hall while children from different orphanages in Bulacan such as Bahay at Yaman ni San Martin de Porres Inc., Ephesus Loving Hands of Joseph and Mary, Tahanang Mapagpala ni Madre Rita and Nazareth Home for Children Foundation Inc. will exhibit their talents to entertain the guests.

Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said that winning children in the provincial congress will be the official representatives in the regional level come October 25, 2013 at SM City Pampanga Event Center.

Vice Gov. Daniel Fernando, Board Member Eulogio Sarmiento III, Chairman, SP Committee on Social Services and Women and Day Care Workers in Bulacan will also attend the event. ###
