CITY OF MALOLOS – Fifty four Bulakeño families who reside in places considered as high risk danger zone received the keys to their new homes as the second batch beneficiaries of the housing program of the National Housing Authority in cooperation with the Provincial Government of Bulacan in Bulacan Angat Heights Barangay Catacte, Bustos, Tuesday morning.

Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said that the government is gradually relocating Bulakeños who need help to transfer to safer places.

According to some of the relocatees like Jay Calayacay, from Cambaog, Bustos, the program helped ease their burdens.

Cristo, Pulilan.

Organizers headed by Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office also distributed bags of groceries to the informal settlers who were relocated from the towns of Pulilan, Bustos and Plaridel.
Other towns that will also benefit from the Angat Riverbank Settlements are Baliwag, Norzagaray, San Rafael, Hagonoy, Calumpit, Angat and Paombong.

The Bulacan Angat Heights can accommodate 1,100 families while Bulacan Angat Heights II located in Barangay Cacarong Matanda in Pandi can house up to 1,900 families.

First batch which was composed of 72 families relocated at the Bulacan Angat Heights last October 3, 2013. ###
