According to Alvarado, the annual traditional Christmas tree lighting that aims to put Christmas closer to the hearts of Bulakenyos will be featured in Sanchezís ABS-CBNís top-rating show, Rated K.

He also said that the activity will encourage Bulakenyos to celebrate Christmas season with love, joy, peacefulness and forgiveness, which is the true essence of the celebration.

The giant Christmas tree is made up of intricate Singkaban bamboo arcs adorned with colorful decors like Christmas balls, lanterns, lights and flowers.

Also, before the countdown to the lighting ceremony, the audience will be serenaded with Christmas carols by different chorale groups.

Hundreds of Bulakenyos are expected to take part in the celebration including the local chief executives from the towns and cities of the province, non-government organizations and employees of the Capitol. ###
