CITY OF MALOLOS – The Provincial Government of Bulacan headed by Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado will lead the formal turnover of responsibilities and oath taking of the boy/girl officials during the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony at Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium on December 1, 2014 at 8am in this city.

The said activity is in line with the observance of Linggo ng Kabataan wherein around 60 Bulakenyo youths will serve as the counterparts of elected and appointed top officials of the Provincial Government of Bulacan and national governments.

Alvarado said these young leaders were elected by their peers who were chosen from various schools to serve a one-week term, from December 1 to 5, 2014 in the Capitol.

Elected as the governor is Rodolfo Nick DC. Almera from Santa Peregrina High School and Hans Reginald S. Alejandro as the vice governor from Santa Maria Ecumenical School.

“The boy/girl officials aim to train the youth in the actual discharging of duties of public officials and to experience how to run the local government or how the executive and legislative departments of the local government unit work together for a common goal,” Alvarado said.

The weeklong celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan is in accordance to Presidential Proclamation No. 99 series of 1992. ###
