CITY OF MALOLOS – Some 500 Bulakenyos learned new skills during the Skills Demo and Livelihood Fair conducted by the Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) through the Provincial Youth, Sports, Employment and Development Office held in front of the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city earlier today.

Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said that Singkaban Festival celebration is not just about entertainment, but also about giving opportunities for Bulakenyos to learn new things for employment or livelihood.

Elsie Paredes, trainer from Sagip Kalikasan Dulot ay Kabuhayan (SKDP) said that trainees were enthusiastic and very willing to learn.

Mikaela Calara, Grade 8 student from Bulacan State University, one of the trainees of Waste Recycling, said she appreciated the effort of the PGB to save mother earth.

Other skills demonstrated were food processing, hair cutting, cellphone repair, beads making, massage therapy and waste recycling.

Community Based Trainers Association of Bulacan (CBTAB) and Sagip Kalikasan Dulot ay Kabuhayan (SKDP) trained the participants.

Bulakenyos also receive a treat of free services such as hair cut, massage therapy, cellphone repair and beads making products.
