The barangay tanods who undergone a two-month training on basic peacekeeping operations dubbed as “Handog Pangkaalaaman sa Gampanin ng Barangay Tanod para sa Mabuting Pamamahala,” will receive a certificate from the Provincial Government of Bulacan and will experience a day of appreciation for their incalculable contribution in keeping the peace and order in the community.
Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said that every barangay tanod plays a vital role in the development and progress of the community.
The governor also hopes that the local government units in the province will continue to support the trainings and seminar intended for the barangay tanods that will make them more inspired as peacekeepers in their own barangays.
Moreover, the said event aims to boost the motivation of the barangay peace and security officers in serving the public through ensuring peace and order in the community, crime prevention and preservation of public safety.
Araw ng Barangay Tanod is one of the activities included in the celebration of Singkaban Festival 2015 with the theme “Bulacan, Dangal ng Bansa! Lahing Bulakenyo, Ating Ibandila!
