CITY OF MALOLOS – Five hundred Bulakenyos expressed their gratitude to the Provincial Government of Bulacan and Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) as they experienced convenient passport application services during the Mobile Passport Service (Personal Appearance) held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city yesterday as part of the weeklong celebration of Singkaban Festival 2015.

“Super convenient. Hindi mo na kailangan magpunta sa Manila to apply for a passport and para sa kagaya naming mga working person, wala na kaming time para lumuwas kaya this event is really a big help,” said Jhoel Villafuerte, one of the applicants.

Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said the event aims to bring government services closer to the people specifically to help Bulakenyos acquire passports in a more convenient and easy way.

“Tipid sa pagod, oras at pera. Ang serbisyong ito ay malaking tulong at ginhawa para sa mga kababayan nating mga Bulakenyo dahil hindi na nila kailangang gumising ng sobrang aga at mamasahe ng malaki para lumuwas kasi nandito na sa malapit sa atin,” Alvarado said.

Prior to this, Provincial Youth, Sports, Employment and Development Officer Elizabeth Alonzo said that Bulakenyos who showed at the personal appearance already submitted their duly accomplished forms and all other requirements last July 22- August 14, 2015. It includes their Birth Certificate (BC) in Security Paper (SECPA) issued by National Statistics Office (NSO), two valid Identification Cards (photocopy) and NSO Authenticated Marriage Contract for married women.

The release of passports will be served in a first come, first serve basis and will be held on October 14, 2015 at 9:00am to 12:00pm at the Provincial Youth, Sports, Employment and Development Office located at the Capitol Compound, Gat Blas Ople Building in this city.

Meanwhile, DFA still encourages other interested applicants to apply for a passport by visiting its official website http://www.dfa.gov.ph/ and be updated on the upcoming mobile passport services in different parts of the Philippines.
