BM Arceo goes national
Board Member Ariel Arceo, Philippine Councilors League (PCL) Bulacan Chapter President, was elected National Vice-President for Luzon during the 8th National Congress and Election held last March 9 – 11, 2011 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia, Pasay City.
The said event was attended by almost 11,000 councilors from all over the country who collectively elected national officials that would represent each city and province’s council.
As a result, elected as national officers of the Philippine Councilors League for the term 2011-2013 were Tagum City Councilor Alan Zulueta as the National Chairman; Parañaque City Councilor Alma Moreno-Salic as the National President; Quezon City Councilor Jesus Suntay as the National Vice-Chairperson; Poro, Cebu Councilor Ronalo Carcellar as the National Exec. VP; Cagayan de Oro City Councilor Ramon Tabor as the National Sec. Gen.; Taguig City Councilor Ricardo Jordan as the National Treasurer; Dagupan City Councilor Maybelyn Rose Fernandez as the National Auditor; Olongapo City Councilor Gina Perez as the National PRO; and Tuguegarao City Councilor Perla Tumauan as the National Liaison Officer.
The program also highlighted the ratification of the PCL Constitution and By-Laws amendments that will fit the needs of the present administration.
“I am thankful and happy dahil para sa akin, pagkakataon na ito para sa Bulacan, para makilala at higit na makagawa ng daan para sa mas maraming magandang programa para sa mga Bulakenyo,” said Arceo.
Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado on the other hand, lauded Arceo for being elected as national vice president for Luzon and said that as he [Arceo] assume his post, it has become his responsibility to open more doors for Bulacan council’s improvement.
Moreover, Arceo said that one of his plans as the national vice president is to further the promotion of transparency in governance and to produce the Luzon Council Directory. (IRA MANGUNAY)
