UNIFIED TVET PROGRAM REGISTRATION AND ACCREDITATION SYSTEM (UTPRAS)
The Unified TVET Program Registration and Accreditation System is a two-stage quality assurance process. The first stage involves the compulsory registration of programs/courses with TESDA and the monitoring for continuous compliance of the set policies and standards to ensure that minimum requirements are met. The second stage entails voluntary accreditation which deals with the institutionalization of quality management systems at the institutional level and utilizes the Philippine TVET Quality Award as its framework.
The Program Registration System promotes public interest and welfare y ensuring the quality of all TVET programs. It also prescribes compliance with minimum standards provided for in training regulations. The system also encourages and allows TVET institutions to constantly upgrade the quality of training delivery. TVET institutions with registered program/s are required to constantly comply with the registration requirements. They must also ensure that the minimum standards for registration are complied with. TESDA monitors the continuous compliance of registered programs against the registration requirements.
