This was the message of Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado while comparing the responsibilities of jeepney drivers and operators and those in the government.

Alvarado also expressed his gratitude to Bulacan Federation of Jeepney Operators and Drivers Association members who are the primary instrument in having smooth transportation every day.

Meanwhile, as Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Chairman Atty. Winston Ginez’s representative, LTFRB Board Member Ariel Inton acknowledged the concerns raised by the members of the organization including franchise opening, line amendment and route extension.

“Ang sektor ng transportasyon ay napakahalaga dahil we move people, we move goods upang umikot ang ekonomiya ng Pilipinas kaya naman ang inyong mga inquiry ay ipinapangako kong ipararating sa ating chairman at nang sa gayon ay masimulan na ang pag-uusap,” Inton said.

On the other hand, the jeepney drivers who attended the event expressed their appreciation in having an event like this because they were given a chance to raise their concerns at the same time, have fun with their fellow drivers.

Meanwhile, in “The Singing Tsuper”, Rodrigo dela Cruz from Bulakan won the first place and took home P10,000; Ponciano dela Cruz from Santa Maria won P7,000 for winning second place; and Manoling Hernandez from Bulakan won P4,000 for landing on the third place.

All winners received a trophy and non-winners took home P500 each as consolation prize.

A raffle was also held wherein winners got the chance to take home a LED TV, three sacks with 25kg of rice each, five sacks with 10kg of rice each, three tool sets, two cell phones, 30 winners of P2,000 and 12 winners of cell phone loads worth P300.

Aside from this, all the attendees took home grocery bags as token of appreciation. ###
