CITY OF MALOLOS – Two hundred displaced and distressed Bulakenyo Overseas Filipino Workers received livelihood assistance from the P2 million grant of the Department of Labor and Employment Region III to the Provincial Government of Bulacan coinciding the first Monday Flag Ceremony held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium, in this city today.

Acting Governor Daniel R. Fernando said that this is one way of returning the favor to modern heroes who are sacrificing outside the country to provide for their family.

According to Elizabeth Alonzo, head of the Provincial Youth, Sports and Public Employment Service Office (PYSPESO), they identified the recipients and distributed the goodies to jumpstart a sari-sari store as aid to the families of the said OFW beneficiaries.

Carol Dayrit from Calumpit, wife of an OFW in Dubai who have been displaced expressed her gratitude for the said assistance.
