CITY OFMALOLOS - In a bid to maximize the use of mobile phones in reporting abuse and violations against environment and natural resources, Globe in partnership with the Provincial Government of Bulacan launched Green Line Protektahan ang Likas Yaman Hotline and Text Facility, Tuesday morning at Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city.

The new hotline for the environment is 0917811-WQMA (9762), which is also supported and recommended by DENR-EMB Region 3 and NCR, MMO WQMA, Blacksmith Institute and Sony Ericsson through a memorandum of agreement signed in by officials of the said organizations.

This technology is adopted to further the efforts in protecting the environment, particularly the rehabilitation of Marilao-Meycauayan-Obando River System.

She also lauded the initial efforts of PGB in mobilizing resources and stakeholders to protect and manage its natural resources for the benefit of the future generation.

According to Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado, this step to protect the environment is a milestone in Bulacan’s endeavors to revive its rivers from dying, and to save mountains from destruction.
