Friday, 21 January 2011
CITY OF MALOLOS – Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado announces that as 2011 breaks in, a few edifices in the province will be furbished and embellished.

In the Monday flag ceremony, Alvarado enumerated the on going and upcoming infrastructure projects of the Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) for this year which includes the renovation of some areas in Bulacan Medical Center (BMC), Provincial Engineer’s Office and Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center (HBCC).

“Dito po sa taong ating hinaharap, ang ipagagawa po natin at ngayon ay sinisimulan natin, ang pagsasaayos ng phase 1 ng emergency room ng ating Provincial Hospital, kasabay po nito, another P10 million para sa phase 2 upang maging maaliwalas ang ating emergency room,” Alvarado said.

The governor also uttered his concern for the relatives of the patients in BMC who were seen sleeping under a tree during night time which prompted him to create an area wherein they will be comfortable, saying, “we will house them in an appropriate area, sa gawing likuran na lugar upang ‘pag umuulan, ‘pag gabi, hindi po sila nagkalat doon.”

Moreover, the one hectare vacant lot at the back of BMC is planned to temporarily hold the hospital’s toxic wastes instead of bringing it everyday to Clark, Angeles City, Pampanga for proper disposal.

Also, the PGB allocated another P19 million for the rehabilitation of the restaurant and conference rooms of HBCC and the construction is expected to be finished in three months time.

“Yun pong ating Provincial Engineer’s Office, pinagkalooban po ng ating Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng another P30 million for the rehabilitation of the so dilapidated building of the PEO, para yung mga ordinary plus political activities dun na lamang po ginagawa,” the governor added.

On the other hand, Alvarado reiterated the implementation of the No Helmet No Ride policy as well as keeping the whole province clean and green. He also announced the plan for the continuous rehabilitation of the Marilao-Meycauayan-Obando river system and the efforts done to implement the anti-drug campaign to keep the Bulakeños away from danger. ###
