Bulacan jobs fair offers 1,500 job opportunities

CITY OF MALOLOS – The Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) will launch a jobs fair, local and abroad, on April 12, 2011, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium, Capitol Compound, this city.

Together with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), the said program aims to help the newly graduates, unemployed, particularly the repatriated Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) from Libya in their job hunting.

Moreover, 3,000 job seekers are expected to participate in the first jobs fair this year of the PGB.

In addition, 48 local companies participating in the said fair offers job opportunities for engineers, call center agents, clerical workers, supervisors and managers while the 10 agencies for overseas need skilled workers.

“Isa ito sa pinakamalaking jobs fair natin ngayong taon at inaasahan nating maraming Bulakenyo ang magkakaroon ng hanapbuhay,” said Elizabeth Alonzo, pinuno ng Provincial Youth, Sports, Employment, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office (PYSEACTO).

Also coinciding the jobs fair is the launching of Phil-JobNet ID Registration, an online job matching that aims to fast-track jobseekers’ search for jobs.

Registered applicants can advertise themselves, update their personal information, view job matches, and gain access to job vacancies, and apply online. ###
