Bulacan launches TV and radio program

CITY OF MALOLOS--The Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) through the Provincial Public Affairs (PPAO) will launch on April 16 9Saturday) the “Galing Bulacan” TV program in 15 cable stations in the region via simultaneous broadcast.

PPAO chief Maricel Santos-Cruz said the TV program aims to uplift social awareness, promote local tourism and provide updates on recent activities of Governor Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado and the salient programs of the provincial government.

She said “Galing Bulacan is in magazine format and will feature on its first episode the segments titled “Getting To Know Gov” which will highlight the inspiring story of Gov. Alvarado and how he manages his time in serving Bulakenyos, “Kaptilyo Mo” which will showcase the different services offered by the Provincial Capitol, and “Sariling Punto” which will entertain and enlighten the viewers about the undiscovered funny accents of Bulakenyos.

Among the cable stations that will be airing it are Villarama Cable, GEMSAT Cable, Excelite Cable Network, Star CATV, DELTASAT CATV, San Ildefonso North Satr, Good Shepherd, Alpha Vision, Master Cable TV, Plaridel Rainbow Cable TV, NorthCom, SPC Cable TV, Sky Cable, and Golden Eagle.

Gov. Alvarado said “Galing Bulacan” will also focus on community based services as well as the beautiful scenic spots, cultural heritage and way of life of the Bulakenyos people.

In a related development, a one-hour radio program will be aired every 9 o’clock in the morning at 90.3 RB FM (Radyo Bulacan) which will raise issues, share people’s stories, provide know, how, and spread news that are substantial to community.

The seven-day program airing will be divided into different radio programs, each day having an assigned department of the PGB to take-charge including PSWDO, Sangguniang Panlalawigan, PNP-Bulacan, PLO,PHO and PPAO.

Also, every Saturday morning (8 AM to 9 AM) Gov. Alvarado co-anchors the weekly radio program “The Governor’s Hour” with Bulakenyo broadcaster Rommel Ramos over DWSS 1494
khz on the AM band.

“We have an immediate opportunity for a talk based community radio program dedicated to positive approaches in addressing the concerns of our fellow Bulakeños. It would explore community preparedness, sustainability and transformation, and other positive, socially conscious approaches in reaching out to the people of Bulacan, “Gov. Alvarado said.###
