The preparation includes Bulacan-PNP’s drill for peace and security, elevation of Glorietta for a better view of the guests, and assigning of designated areas for a much organized and solemn flow of program as instructed by Gov. Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado.

Alvarado said that this year’s celebration of Philippine independence day will be attended by all the five congressmen of the province, Malolos City Officials led by Mayor Christian D. “Ang kasarinlan ng Pilipinas ay natamo dahil sa sakripisyo, pagmamahal sa bayan at pagkakaisa ng ating mga ninuno at ito’y ating susuklian sa pagpapakita na ang magiting na lahing Bulakenyo ay patuloy na nagkakaisa para mapangalagaan ang ating kalayaan,” said Alvarado, who together with Vice Gov. Daniel Fernando will lead the independence day rites for the first time as top provincial executives of Bulacan.

According to Provincial Administrator Jim Valerio, “sa unang pagkakataon ni Gob. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado na dadalo sa pagdiriwang bilang punong lalawigan, minabuti nitong imbitahin ang lahat ng empleyado ng kapitolyo, maging mga beterano, mga sanggunian ng bawat bayan at lungsod sa Bulacan upang sama-samang gunitain kung paanong tayo ay nabubuhay ng malaya ngayon. ”

In line with this, the Provincial Administrator’s Office issued a memorandum PA-2011-258 which requires 100% participation of employees from health and non-health category.

House Speaker Feliciano R. Belmonte is expected to grace the event as the guest of honor.

Valerio said that a civic military parade will usher in the celebrations and will be followed by the raising of the Philippine Flag at the Patio of Barasoain Church, followed by the offering of flowers to the life-size statue of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo to be led by House Speaker Belmonte, Gov. Alvarado, Mayor Natividad, Mayor Marcos and Chief Supt. Ladao.
