Monday, 26 March 2012
CITY OF MALOLOS – Approximately 1,000 Bulakenyo job seekers will have a chance to work outside the country thru POEA on Wheels program that will place tomorrow, March 27, 8:00 am at the Bulacan State University Activity Center in this city.

A joint project of Provincial Youth, Sports, Employment, Arts and Tourism Office (PYSEACTO) spearheaded by Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado and Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), the said program aims help and orient the Bulakenyo with regard to apply for work abroad.

“Sa kabila ng mga pragramang inilatag natin na kung saan marami ang maghahanapbuhay dito sa ating lalawigan ay marami pa ring Bulakenyo ang nagnanais na mangibang bansa. Hatid ng POEA on Wheels na matulungan at mapadali ang proseso ng paghahanap ng trabaho overseas ng ating nasasakupan.” Alvarado said.

Elizabeth Alonzo, head of PYSEACTO, said that aside from the pre-employment orientation seminar, there will also be legal assistance, pre- departure counseling, e-registration and jobs fair.

Also, alongside the orientation is the launching of Phil-JobNet ID Registration, an online job matching that aims to fast-track jobseekers’ search for employment. Here, registered applicants can advertise themselves, update their personal information, view job matches, gain access to job vacancies, and apply online.

Aside from jobseekers, other expected participants include local and barangay officials, Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families, college students from BSU (BulsU), Centro Escolar University (CEU), Bulacan Polytechnic University (BPC), STI and La Consolacion University of the Philippines (LACUP).
