Tuesday, 26 June 2012
CITY OF MALOLOS-In a bid to provide quality education for the youth of Bulacan, the Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) headed by Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado is set to give out 200,000 notebooks to more or less 100,000 grade two pupils in the province this month.

The said notebook project aims to ease the financial burden of the parents of the elementary pupils who do not have the capability to buy school supplies for their children.

“Bukod sa layuning matulungan ang ating mga mag-aaral, magkakaroon din tayo ng pagkakataon upang maka-daupang palad at makausap ang ating mga mag-aaral,” Alvarado said.

According to Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office head Rowena Joson-Tiongson, all of the grade two public school pupils all over Bulacan will receive two notebooks each.

Tiongson also added that the PGB has plans of giving another set of notebooks for the grade three public school pupils in the province this July.

Earlier yesterday, June 25, the governor distributed 418 notebooks at the Barasoain Elementary School.

The said project is part of the Program for Children of the PGB thru the PSWDO. ###
