Bulacan kicks off Hakbang para sa Kabataan

CITY OF MALOLOS- Some 8,000 Bulakenyos will gather and walk for a cause for Hakbang para sa Kabataan on Friday, September 7, 2012 in this city.

As one of the programs included in the Singkaban Fiesta celebration, the said alay lakad aims to raise funds for the programs and projects that will support the athletes and out-of-school youth in Bulacan.

According to Provincial Youth, Sports, Education, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office head Elizabeth Alonzo, the Philippine Volcanoes, being the special guests will lead the activity that will start from Barasoain Church (3.1 kilometers) and Santisima Trinidad Elementary School (1.5 kilometers) to Mini-Forest, Capitol Compound.

A short program will follow wherein 10 winners of P2,000 will be given and three lucky participants will also have a chance to win P50,000, P30,000 and P20,000 for the first, second and third prize consecutively.

Expected participants are teachers, high school and college students, government employees and officials and the Provincial Government.

Hakbang para sa Kabataan is a joint project of the Provincial Government of Bulacan, Bulacan Sports Council and Pag-Asa Youth Association.###
