Boy/Girl officials take oath of office in Bulacan capitol

CITY OF MALOLOS- Sixty one Bulakenyo youths officially take their oaths as Boy/Girl officials this Monday morning, December 3, 2012, during the Flag Raising ceremony at the Capitol Gymnasium as part of the celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan in this city.

According to Bulacan Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado, these young leaders who were elected by their peers from various schools will serve a one-week term in the Capitol from December 3-7.

The governor said that in five days, their official counterparts will expose them and make them experience how the government renders their services to the Bulakenyos.

“Tuturuan din sila ng mga polisiya at responsibilidad na kaakibat ng kanilang posisyon, gayundin ang pagiging hands on sa mga gawaing pang-opisina gaya ng pagdalo sa mga pagpupulong at sesyon ng Sangguniang Panlalawigan, outreach program sa Tanglaw Pag-asa Juvenile Center at Bethany House Orphanage”, Alvarado added.

Meanwhile, Vice Gov. Daniel Fernando led the formal turnover of responsibilities and oath taking of the boy/girl officials led by the newly elected governor Angelica Sacdalan, a student from San Isidro Parochial School from Brgy. Liciada, Bustos, Bulacan and Angeline Cruz, the voted vice governor from Brgy. Gugo, Calumpit, Bulacan who’s currently enrolled in Bulacan State University.

According to Fernando, he also started from being a volunteer youth leader and now he sits on one of the top positions in the province that’s why he encourages them to be serious and reach their aspirations with honesty and perseverance in every task that is assigned to them for it may be helpful in their future endeavors.

The said program is made possible by the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Youth, Sports, Employment, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office, in accordance to the Presidential Proclamation No. 99 series of 1992. ###
