Alvarado urges LGUs to help typhoon Pablo victims
Tuesday, 11 December 2012
CITY OF MALOLOS— Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado calls for donations to help victims of typhoon Pablo which caused massive destruction in Mindanao and other nearby provinces.

This happened during the Monday flag ceremony as Alvarado encouraged local government units to lead in gathering any kind of assistance that can be brought in the affected areas.

He also said that instead of spending money for the Christmas party of provincial government employees, they will dole out financial assistance to the victims of the typhoon.

The governor also added that those who want to help can bring their donations in the Provincial Capitol Lobby in this city from December 10-21, 2012.

According to the recent report of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), more than 800 people were missing, 540 were dead and 1,088 were injured mostly in region 10 as a result of the onslaught of typhoon Pablo. ###
