CITY OF MALOLOS – Around 2,000 scholars under the “Tulong Pang-edukasyon para sa Kabataang Bulakenyo” program of the Provincial Government of Bulacan will gather for their annual “Scholars’ General Assembly” as part of the activities in the month-long celebration of Singkaban Festival 2018 on September 11, 2018, 2 pm at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium here.

According to the Provincial Administrator’s Office-Barangay Governance Special Project Division, the students will come from various campuses of Bulacan Polytechnic College including Bocaue, Obando, Angat, Pandi, San Rafael, San Miguel, and Cities of San Jose Del Monte and Malolos.

Expected to grace the event is former Senator Jose “Jinggoy” Ejercito Estrada, Jr. as the guest of honor.

Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said that the assembly aims to have an interaction with the youth scholars and to remind them that they also play an important role in nation building.

The said scholarship program caters to incoming freshmen, second year and third year college students in state colleges and universities inside and outside of the province. Incoming fourth year students can also avail but only those who are enrolled in five-year courses.

Required documents for new applicants from BPC and other public colleges or universities are: request letter to the governor, Barangay Certificate of Indigency (original), Report Card or Certificate of Registration of the current semester (original and photocopy) and filled out application form. Additional documents for students from private universities or colleges include copy of ID and Birth Certificate (photocopy).
