CITY OF MALOLOS – Aside from free tuition, Bulacan Polytechnic College will no longer charge students of miscellaneous expenses.

This was announced by Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado during the “Scholars’ General Assembly” yesterday at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city as part of the activities in the month-long celebration of Singkaban Festival 2018.

He said, “Lubos tayong nagpapasalamat sa pagsasabatas ng libreng matrikula sa lahat ng state universities at colleges sapagkat malaking tulong ito sa mga magulang at sa mga kabataang gustong makatapos ng kanilang pag-aaral kaya naman sinisikap din nating tumbasan ito sa pamamagitan ng pag-alis ng miscellaneous expenses sa BPC.”

Meanwhile, in his message as the guest of honor, former Senator Jose “Jinggoy” Ejercito Estrada, Jr. advised the 2,135 scholars of BPC under the “Tulong Pang-edukasyon para sa Kabataang Bulakenyo” program of the Provincial Government of Bulacan to not forget and remember the traditions and culture, which are part of the personality of being a Filipino.

“Kilala po ang lalawigan ng Bulacan sa makulay nitong sining at kultura pati na rin sa pagtingkad ng kasaysayan na nag-ambag sa pagpapayabong ng karunungan, kalayaan at pag-iral ng demokrasya sa ating bansa, “Estrada said.

Cong. Jonathan R. Sy-Alvarado of the First District of Bulacan also graced the event and said that he believes that BPC is one of the best examples and institutions that they can go to in order to enhance their culture in studies that may later on help them to land a good job.

Estrada, Alvarado, Vice Gov. Daniel R. Fernando and other officials of the Provincial Government of Bulacan led the distribution of certificates for the scholars.

Meanwhile, elected officials from president to board of directors of all BPC campuses took their oath of office during the assembly.

Also, former Congresswoman Marivic Sy-Alvarado attended the event and interacted with the scholars.

Zheila Mae Anores, first year Hotel and Restaurant Service student of BPC Malolos Main Campus, thanked the PGB for the free education that they received.

“’Yung scholarship ng Kapitolyo ay malaking tulong para sa mga estudyante mula sa BPC, isa ito sa nagbigay daan para maipagpatuloy pa ang aming pag-aaral sa kolehiyo,” Anores said.
