CITY OF MALOLOS- The Provincial Government of Bulacan headed by Gov. Daniel R. Fernando in partnership with the Five Pillars of Justice in Bulacan will intensify more its actions and improve the justice system in the province.

He said this during the opening of the observance of the Five Pillars of Justice held coinciding the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium here this morning.

The governor said that included in the issues to be addressed are as follows: having a strong moral recovery program, modernization of each five pillars of justice for a better database management, additional skills training and better facilities, strengthening public trust and confidence to the justice system in the community, uplifting the quality of life and having a unified action with one goal.

“We can achieve stronger pillars of justice by working together. Ito ang katuwiran, kawastuhan, at pagkakapantay-pantay ng mga tao sa harap ng batas na siyang susi ng pangmatagalang kapayapaan at kaligtasan na ating mga kababayan,” Fernando said.

Meanwhile, Police Brigadier General and Regional Director C/Supt. Joel Napoleon Coronel of PRO3, the guest of honor, said that he will support the great vision of Bulacan to put up a jail in the town of Doña Remedios Trinidad to provide the PDL or persons deprived of liberty with better livelihood and humane condition.

“Nais ko pong magpasalamat sa mensahe ng ating gobernador kung saan minungkahi ng lalawigan ng Bulacan na magtatayo po tayo ng facility na kung saan po madadala natin ang mga bilanggo sa isang lugar na angkop naman sa kanilang kalagayan at sumusunod sa karapatang pangtao,” Coronel said.

He said that Fernando was correct when he said that the current facility is not enough to address the needs of those in prison.

The Five Pillars of Justice is composed of the Prosecutor’s Office headed by Fiscal Renato Samonte, Jr. represented by Fiscal Anna Maria Angela Garcia; Philippine National Police headed by P/Col Chito Bersaluna and guest of honor Police Brigadier General and Regional Director C/Supt. Joel Napoleon Coronel of PRO3; Executive Judge Olivia Samar of Regional Trial Court; Probation and Parole Office composed of CPPO Teresita Mascuñana and CPPO Cezar Lopez Jr., and the Community represented by the PGB headed Fernando.
