CITY OF MALOLOS- Just like the 100 percent support of the members of the Malolos Congress to the ratification of the first constitution, Senator Maria Imelda Josefa “Imee” Marcos encouraged not only Bulakenyos but all the Filipinos to unite in order to achieve national development during the commemoration of the 121st Anniversary of the Malolos Congress held at the historic Barasoain Church in this city this rainy morning.

Sabay-sabay at nagkakaisa nating hangarin ang kaunlaran ng ating bansa,” the lady senator said.

Marcos also praised the province of Bulacan and said that it is destined to be the cradle of the great history of the country.

Meanwhile, for his part, Governor Daniel R. Fernando persuaded the thousands of Bulakenyos in attendance despite the pouring rain to value the freedom thay they are enjoying and to not use it to step on other people’s rights.

The event was also attended by National Historical Commission of the Philippines Chairman Rene Escalante, Vice Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado, City of Malolos Mayor Gilbert Gatchalian, Liga ng mga Bayan sa Pilipinas-Bulacan President and Guiguinto Mayor Ambrosio Cruz, Jr., Norzagaray Mayor Alfredo Germar, Philippine National Police Region 3 Director PB Gen. Joel Napoleon M. Coronel and members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Bulacan.
