More than 600 Bulakenyo youths graduate from PGB Summer Sports Clinic

CITY OF MALOLOS – A total of 611 Bulakenyo youths marched on the stage with their certificates on hand after making it to the end thus being included among the graduates who attended the PGB Summer Sports Clinic Mass Graduation held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium here, Thursday afternoon.

The summer program that is conducted yearly by the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Youth, Sports and Public Employment Service Office offers sports program including aikido, swimming, badminton, basketball, chess, dance sports, football, gymnastics, taekwondo, lawn tennis and volleyball.

Participants from aikido, dance sports and taekwondo performed their routine to show what they have learned during their sessions.

Also, some participants received their medals after winning in their respective competitions.

In his message delivered by his Chief of Staff Antonio Del Rosario, Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado lauded the efforts of the parents for their untiring support to their children, supporting them as they achieve their dreams in life.

“Magpasalamat tayo sa ating mga magulang sa kanilang suportang ipinakita ngayong araw. Nawa ay maging makabuluhan ang pagtatapos ng Summer Sports Clinic at maipagpatuloy ninyo (mga bata) ang disiplina at mga kaalamang inyong natutunan sapagkat mahalagang bahagi ito patungo sa pagiging mabuting mamamayan,” the chief of staff read.

PYSPESO Head Elizabeth Alonzo also encouraged the parents to support and anticipate more worthy and engaging programs for the youth from their office.

Further, Taekwondo Head Coach Nimrod Blas also voiced out his positive feedback towards his students and their capability to compete in sports competitions.

“Natutuwa ako dahil naatasan ako na mag-coach sa mga bata. Ngayon pa lang nakikita ko na may kakayahan sila mag-compete sa mga Olympics at sports competition. Sana balang araw magkaroon ng representative ang Bulacan,” he said.

Aside from the summer sports clinic, a total of 1,012 youths were also given opportunity to work in different companies in the province during the summer as part of the PGB’s Special Program for Employment of Students.
